Veru Iche at ARCO 2013
The Galería Pelaires presented this year works by Veru Iche at the International Contemporary Art Fair "ARCO" in Madrid.
Veru Iche (Argentina 1972) is a photographer living in Palma de Mallorca. The works belong to a series of dream-portraits that put us with a nostalgic tone, often macabre, in a theater-like world. Their joint appearance conveys basically something enigmatic. The clad faces Veru Iche´s are worrying and simultaneously mesmerizing. As she quotes herself: "I have this fantasy that everyone wants to conceal or hide something."
The photographs of the people are part of an appearance game, with ambiguously sense, that all tell complex stories. The technical surprise of her work is the plasticity of their images; Hair, dust and stains are impeccably detailed by the excellent quality of the print.
For the art show were works of the series "Belleza" presented as large-format prints on Hahnemühle Baryta fine-art paper, printed on an Epson large format printer with UltraChrome ™ K3 inks.
For many years, trusts Veru Iche, as well as other photographers, on the quality of the prints from ARTamTam. They have also contributed to the success of many other projects.
